Share Your Talents with RNNA

Share your knowledge and talents with your Ridglea North neighbors! We are looking for neighbors who have a knack for music, photography, crafty projects, being handy or anything else we could utilize for our events and special projects. Please complete this form to tell us about the talents you have to share.

Berney Park Playground Update

Thank you to the many RNNA members who emailed us your comments and choices for new playground equipment for Morris E. Berney Park. Your responses were overwhelmingly in favor of Option #2 in natural colors. Therefore, the RNNA Board has voted to recommend Option #2 in natural colors to Ft. Park & Recreation (FWP&R) for installation in Berney Park. The next step will be to meet with a FWP&R architect to confirm the plans. Hopefully, this will happen in February. As soon as our plan is confirmed, it should then take six to seven months to complete the new playground. We have many steps ahead of us, but we are on the way to getting a new playground for Berney Park! Questions? Contact Berney Park Playground Steering Committee Chair Una Bailey.

Save the Date: Cowtown Cleanup

Saturday, March 26, Berney Park, 8:30am

Join our neighborhood clean-up crew! Light breakfast treats, gloves and trash bags will be provided as neighbors collect litter and work on some landscape projects in Berney Park. Cowtown Cleanup is a great way to help beautify the neighborhood, volunteer together as a family or complete service hours. Contact Luci Digiorgio-Vasquez to RSVP.

Neighbor Spotlight: Max and Remy Brown

1) Tell us about yourself and your family. We are Max and Remy Brown. Max is a Fort Worth native and I am from the area as well. We married in 2017 and have two boys, 3-year-old Lyons and 3-month-old Beck and a goldendoodle, Luna. I work in communications at the Trinity River Authority and Max is an attorney for an energy company in Dallas.

2) How long have you lived in Ridglea North? We moved to Ridglea North shortly after we married in 2017.

3) What’s your favorite neighborhood activity or event? Every year we look forward to the 4th of July parade! We have also recently come to love National Night Out due to our son's love of firetrucks! When the weather is nice, we love to walk to Campisis for pizza night.

4) What’s your favorite thing to do in Fort Worth? Our family enjoys spending time on the Trinity Trails. Both Max and I love to run so we like to bring the whole family and make an afternoon of it.

5) What’s your best advice on being a good neighbor? Get to know your neighbors beyond your house or street. Get out and walk! It's a great way to learn the neighborhood and get to know people. Getting involved also affords you the same opportunity. The RNNA makes it easy with so many great events every year.
